Did this issue happen instantly or was the dryer progressively getting worse?

dewcat you should start your own thread use Post New Topic
You will get more responses and they will be directed at your specific problem

You may have received a weak fuse but I doubt it
You probably have an air flow problem
Is the drier clean inside. Is the lint filter clean and also it's housing
Remove the drier from the vent system and run it
Do you get good air flow
If yes, then check the vent system
Is it clean? Does the outside vent open and close easily?

I see many posts where the unit is vented through the roof and this is the problem.

Well its vented out our porch about 4 in off the floor and the flap for the vent works great. Dryer will not start. Timer will work and click but will not start. repair shop is telling me it could be alot of things that dont help much. He said something about a thermostat vent fuse on the front and others and probably would have to replace thermofuse AGAIN.

Cannot help without a Make and Model
Start your own thread with a description of what has happened so far
The main thermal fuse usually cuts power to the entire 120 volt side of the dryer so the timer would not run

Default Maytag Dryer won't run

I am having the same problem with a performa maytag dryer - as running great- now won't run. checked the breakers, doors, power and belt - all okay . When turning the time, you hear the clicking of the time, but won't run

any suggestions?
