Default Dryer wont heat uo
Brand: Roper
Model Number: REL4634BW2
Age: More than 10 years

All settings seem to work fine but with no heat. Could it be heater element, fuse, which should I check, replace first?

The first thing you should check is the power coming to the dryer.

Make sure you have 240 volts at the wall outlet.

If the fuse in the dryer was bad the dryer would not run.

Check the element.

Check for burnt wires at the terminal block where the cord comes in the dryer.

Check the wiring at the motor.

Here is a link to your dryer model REL4634BW2.

Thank you for the speedy response. I checked the wall, had 240, I jumped the thermal fuse and turned on every setting on the dryer still no heat. I looked at the element, didn't test though and it looked good. I will check with more detail later. Is there a way to actually teat the element?

You can use a meter to check the continuity of the element or you can visually inspect it.

If there are not breaks in the element it is good.

So if the element is good should I start with the thermal cut off switch, thermostat?
