Angry Dryer won't heat
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: mp0315981
Age: 1 - 4 years

My dryer won't heat and dry my clothes. It get's "warm" and I have to dry them at least 3 times to get them dry. I was about to order a heating element, but thought I might check w/ you first to see if I need anything else along w/ this part - or instead of this part.

Default No or poor heat on Whirlpool dryer

I couldn't tell if you had a gas dryer or not. If you have a Whirlpool gas dryer, then check the coils on top of the valve for continuity. You should get reading between 1 & 2 on the two wire coil and 1&2 & 1&3 on the three wire coil.
We sell that coil kit for $29.95 which contains both coils in the kit.

Whirlpool models also have a fuse on the blower assembly. It is white in color and usually sells for less than $15.00

If I can be of more help, please let me know.

Default

your vents clogged have it cleaned professinally. If it gets warm theres nothing wrong with anything above member stated. What's happening is the dryer cant properly vent and the cycling therm is cycling off too fast and for too long
