Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 87572120
Age: More than 10 years

gas flame comes on for 15 seconds & turns off for 60-70 seconds. how can i test thermo temp sensor? when sensor is jumped flame stays lite.

Hi,
I hate to hijack the thread but I have the same problem. Waited 1-1/2weeks for the sensor and it still does the same thing. 10-15 seconds on, off for 60-70 seconds. Jump the thermostat, stays on.
My flame looks blue with slight yellowing, but looks slightly bushy near the sensor. Could the flame be tripping the sensor? There looks to be no shutter adjustment.
