Take a putty knife and from either end, place it in the crack between the lid and the front panel. Slide it towards the middle until you feel something. Take the putty knife and push against the obstruction while gently pulling up on the lid. Do the same from about the same distance on the other side (there are two catches). This should allow you to easily open the lid.

When you order the belt fom partselect, ask them if the belt comes with install directions.

front door and panel has to be removed then there will be a 5/16" screw on the top of each corner the hold a clip that holds down the top. if the belt is broken then the rest of the front has to come off. hope you are pretty good in putting thing back the way they came off

there should be four screws on the sides when you open up the door two holding the door hinges and two on the other side, remove the screws and the door. then grab the front panel near the top and pull. then you should see two 5/16" screws at the top with clips that are holding the top down . if the belt is broken then the whole front has to come off and if have trouble with taken thing apart and putting back together then maybe you should get help.
