Default Dryer will not time and won't heat
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.96273100
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a dryer that the timer will not time. I can put in clothes and start the dryer and it will run forever with out moving. Also, it will not heat. I have taken out the heating wires and they are broken. Is this the only thing I need to replace or do i need to replace the timer motor?

The only thing that you should have to replace is the heating element.

If you are using the auto dry cycle the timer will not move until the thermostat opens.

With the element broken the thermostat will never open and the dryer will run forever.

Here is link to the parts of your dishwasher model 110.96273100.

Here is the heating element.
