Hi, my dryer will not start. The timer button is ticking when set but when I push the start button nothing happens. The timer stops ticking when the door is opened and will start ticking when the door is closed. Is it the start button? I was told that it could be the fuse? Where do I find that? I'm stuck now because the appliance parts store is now closed. Do you know what my be the problem?

Yes that would be my first possible cause

If you have a meter: unplug the dryer, unplug one wire to the switch and measure the resistance when the button is pushed. Should close ( 0 ohms)

If you do not have a meter: unplug the dryer, short the two start button wires together, tape them together to make sure they cannot short to anything, plug the dryer in.
If it runs you know it is the start switch
Order a new one
