I also have a similar problem with my dryer. It's a Maytag Neptune. No matter what I set the timer to, be it the intellidry or the timed dry, it doesn't shut off. What I mean by that is if it's on time dry, instead of clicking off when finished, it just continues on to the next spot on the timer. It does however shut off if I open the door. When I close the door again it doesn't restart unless I push the started button, but the timer does continue to advance. My guess is the timer is bad, but before I spend $80.00 on a new one, can some one with knowledge tell me if I'm correct, or if not, what it might be?
