Question Dryer Vent Hose Goes Up To The Attic
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: Duet
Age: 1 - 4 years

My dryer vent hose goes up to the attic and then outside. To me this seems to defy gravity. Can a dryer be vented any other way if it is not near an outside wall? Also, how long should the vent hose be to the wall?

Default Dryer vent

It is the flexible metal tubing (coiled metal) all the way up to the roof.
