Default Dryer Timer need parts assistance
Brand: White-Westinghouse
Model Number: DE500ADW6
Age: More than 10 years

I'm looking for the dryer timer assembly Model 460-G
S/N 131062300 but wherever I look there's a 55 and a 75 dollar one...
They both look the same, but which one's the right one for my dryer?

See here, the top two parts in the list:
Popular Westinghouse Dryer Parts List

Also why do they recommend just replacing the motor, then nobody sells just that?
Am I as the customer missing the punch line here?

Let me give you a little advise, a lot of dryers use the 460-g series timer. But there 60 flavers of the 460-g, for 60 different dryers and most brands, A new timer motor would solve your problem, but they quit selling them. there fore you will need to buy a new one(complete timer) with the exact part # as your old one.
I being an appliance repair man, some times can't replace timer because it's been
discontinued, so I repair the old timer with a donor motor, from another timer.
I have about 100 old timers just to use for spare parts. so buy the new westinghouse timer, you haven't any spare parts to look through.Give your dryer model # to parts select, (this web site)they'll get you the right one
