Default Dryer Timer Does Not Move
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: Atlantis
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello,

My Maytag Dryer dries fine but never shuts off. It does this in auto-mode and timed mode. To add a bit of history at fist the dryer was working fine, then one day it just would not start. I replaced the timer and then it worked and dried fine, but the timer knob doesn't move. Any help would be appreciated.

check to make sure the two black wires going to the timer motor were not pulled off. timer should move in time dry when on even if it is not drying. check to see if you have 120 volts on the wires to the motor. if you do you just burnt up a new timer or get a bad one. PS. atlantis is not the model number
