Can anyone tell me the degree of difficulty in replacing the cycling thermostat.
Mine causes the dryer to overheat and trip the circuit breaker.

You may have a shorted heating element. Pull element and check.

The cycling thermostat is easy to get to and quick to take out and replace. Look up you dryer model # and the diagram #2 will tell you where in your dryer it is located. Mine only had 2 screws holding it and 2 wires attached that had to be disconnected.
