My dryer was timed for 80 minutes and was working fine. It stopped at 40 minutes and will not start.

The first thing to check is the house fuses or circuit breakers. There are two 30 amp fuses or breakers that run the dryer.

Check the wires going into the dryer.

Look at the wiring diagram and see if there is a thermal fuse in the dryer. Check it.

Check the wiring to the timer and to the motor.
