Default Dryer still not working
Brand: Admiral
Age: 5 - 10 years

Ok, I saw many comments about a thermal fuse being bad. Well, I disconnected mine, taped both ends together tried turning it on. No response. I think theres power going to it due to the timer clicking. I will say for years I was just setting the knob at a certain time, Then someone told me just move the knob to dry more or dry less. Now weeks later this problem. are there any other fuses? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

Hello, I am new to this forum and am hoping for some assistance. I have an Admiral eletric dryer about 10yrs old. Just stopped working. The timer works, does that mean there is power to the dryer? I did not smell anything unusual. The breaker has not tripped. I am not tech savy and do not have testing equipment either. Are there any easy processes for determing the problem. Thank you

You know it becomes a guessing game without a volt/ohm meter. Go buy a cheap one for 15 dollars, and I will be ablt to walk you through your diagnosis. You can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
