Cool Dryer Squeeks
Brand: Frigidaire
Age: 5 - 10 years

My frigidare dryer has a really bad squeeking noise which lasts for about 10 to 15 minutes while drying. At one point i noticed a small "ball bearing" which was being pushed out where i think the rear bearing assembly is located. Could a bearing be pushed out of the assembly if it was going bad? If so, would the bearing assembly cause a squeeking noise?

that bearing is not be pushed out it is in the right spot, thats a grounding bearing that makes contact with the drum and the housing. The squeeking noise could be coming from the rear drum bearing or the belt pulley. If the dryer is a couple of years old and never worked on I would take it apart and replace the rear bearing, front glide, idler pulley, and belt. I do this to my frid.dryer about ever five years and right now its 18 years old and running ok
