Your motor is overheating and its thermal protect is tripping
Hopefully there has been no permanent damage to it
There are several moving parts which could cause this
First I would run my hand around the inside of the drum (front and back) just to check for anything that may have jammed between the drum and machine
Next disconnect the unit from the vent and make sure the blower wheel is tight on the motor shaft and not rubbing on the housing
If both the above OK, then you will have to open it up
Remember to remove power from the unit!!
1. Motor bearings
2. Belt idler wheel
3. Rear support rollers
4. Front support plastic glides
Check all for slop and shaft wear and ease of rotation. Replace as necessary
While you have it open check your belt for cracks, front/rear felt drum seals and give it a good cleaning especially the motor.
Would also clean and check the vent system
Basically you are doing an overhaul |
