Default Dryer squeak
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: egd2000a2ww
Age: 5 - 10 years

sorry for the repeat of the dryer squeak post, but each model seems so different. My dryer began with a very faint squeak and now is quite loud. I see in the parts diagram the bearing assemblies that are available, but don't know for sure which way to start

If possible try to localize where the squeak is coming from
I know this can be difficult or near impossible some times

Things that can squeak
Motor and tension idler
Drum rear support bearing on a shaft
Front support rides on plastic

Is the squeak synchronized with any moving part re: drum slow, motor fast

Your drum is center mounted on a shaft and bearing although the parts break down does not show one is there an access panel on the back about center of the drum?
If yes, a couple drops of oil here may solve the problem
Do not go crazy with the oil as little as possible is best, it will attract lint like a magnet
