I recently replaced the 4 drum slides and tje upper portion of the drum bearing because my clothes were getting stuck between the drum and the bearing, leaving them with black marks and/or holes in them.

This repair fixed that problem, but now the dryer sounds like it is off balance and is making a continuous thumping noice. I can't figure out how to fix it.

Any suggestions?

Check to make sure that the idler pulley roller is turning freely.

If the roller is not turning freely it will make a thumping sound.
