Default Dryer Sounds like a Tank coming through the house
Brand: White-Westinghouse
Model Number: DE640JDW1
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello
It's me again I posted something on our washer as well. Our dryer sounds like the tub is hitting and banging inside as it's drying cloth's. We good heat with it and I just replaced the belt thinking that's the problem. NOT. It's still banging and squeling a very loud pitch at times. It Thumps, bumps and bangs, What is this and what do we need to replace next to keep the noise's down?
Thanks
Brian Imes

Check the idler pulley to make sure it is turning freely and the center of the pulley is still round.

Check the rear bearing and the front felt seals.

Check the blower wheel for cracks.

Here is a link to your dryer model DE640JDW1.

Thank you Stelia
When I replaced the belt I did check the Idle pully and it appeared to be ok. Nice and tight and it didn't seem to be loose. The drum inself is very loose like in the back side of it. The front felt seal area is ok. I think it may be the ball thing in the back of the drum. My luck.
