Question Dryer shuts off before completing cylce
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: PDET910AYW
Age: 1 - 4 years

the dryer runs for part of the cycle and shuts down and will not start again until it has completely cooled down most of the time about and hour to and hour and a half, the it will start back up again. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Here is your pats breakdown
Maytag PDET910AYW

Here is a service manual

And the tech sheet

Sounds like your motor is overheating and tripping it's internal overload protector
Could have several causes
1. Motor clogged with lint
2. Drum problem - rotate the drum by hand should rotate fairly easily
3. Motor problem - would have to replace

The reset time does seem excessively long
