 Dryer shuts off !! Brand: Whirlpool Model Number: LTG5243BWO Age: More than 10 years
Whirlpool Propane Dryer (Thin Twin) LTG5243BWO stops drying and shuts off after 11 minutes of a Timed Dry cycle. The lower Washer unit works 100%. We would load dryer, set cycle, and hit the start button ... After a series of test runs we see: Dryer runs for 11 minutes and shuts off. It takes around 20 to 24 minutes before the start button accepts the signal to start, where it might run from 5 to 10 minutes before stopping for another 20 to 24 minutes.
We are baffled, for we have replaced the following: Radiant Sensor, Propane Igniter, Thermostat Internal Bias, and Motor Drive. We have checked the vents and filters to make sure everything was clear and clean.
The Thin Twin hadn't been operated for about the last two years until March when we adopted the weekend cabin and TT from the past owners. We only get to the cabin once a month, and the parts being replaced are mainly hunches as to what to replace next.
