i got this kenmore heavyduty dryerand it will run about 20 minutes and shut off,let it cool down a bit and it will run.the more you do this the less it runs,any suggestions?

Sounds like your motor is overheating and it's internal overload protector is tripping.

Can be caused by a number of things
1. Motor clogged up with lint
2. Motor overloaded. Try turning the drum by hand, should turn fairly easily. Also the motor armature should turn freely when belt is disconnected.
3. Start winding staying on, centrifugal switch not working. Usually have to replace the motor, depends on the model.
4. Motor has worn out
