Default Dryer Seals
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: DE512
Age: More than 10 years

I ordered replacement dryer tumbler seals for the DE512. They arrived w/o adhesive. Can I buy something locally that will suffice, or do I need to try to order this on-line?

Any advice on removing the old seal?

Thanks in Advance.

Will

Here is a link to your dryer
Maytag DE512

Look in Tumbler Section Item 4, click on the part number, a larger view will come up, scroll down and there is a desciption how to replace the seal

Thanks, I saw that and it raises further questions, but first, I still don't have an answer to the adhesive question. Next, do I need to replace the Front Glide Kit &
Drum Support Roller? I am guessing only if I find them to be worn.

I would hate to recommend a glue and then have it come loose after a year or so.
You should be able to pick up a tube of this at a local appliance repair shop
When you looked at the part install help did you look at Tumbler Grey it has a different help than Tumbler Beige

The glide kit only has to be replaced if it is worn but if you have to order the glue then I would also order a glide kit. Would be a pain to pull the dryer apart and then have to order another part. But that is just my opinion.
