Unhappy Dryer runs fine just doesn't heat up!
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LER5644JQ0
Age: 5 - 10 years

Ok, I've spent the last few days lurking around on this site trying to figure out my dryer! It runs perfect but does not heat up. I checked the power supply cord and circuit breaker...everything is good. I tested the heating element, thermal fuse and thermostat and those all test fine. What else can it be?

I really need my dryer!

I think you just dont have 220volts coming out the plug in the wall.
You may have 120volts on one side and just a few volts on the other side or 0volts. Your dryer runs on 120volts but the heather élément runs on 220volts.
You may have a burn or cut wire in the boxe in the wall or in the enter cable of your dryer.
Good luck.

Only things left are the timer and motor switch. Turn timer to heated dry and check across timer contacs usually heavy gauge wires and black and red color.

Thanks for your reply! I did check the volts in the box on the wall and the cable...both read fine! (over 120 on both sides)
