My Maytag Neptune Super Stack SL-3 dryer runs but... no heat. I took off the beveled front cover to see if the heating unit worked and turned it on. The heating unit came on and I ran it for ten minutes, turned it off and tried it again and nothing. So, is it one of the following maybe: Hi-limit Th'ST, CYCLING TH'ST,DRYER TEMP SWITCH or something else ?
It is cutting off on the high limit thermostat, but the reason it might be doing that is because, there could be a clogged vent to the outside. Turn the dryer on, and go outside, and feel the air coming out. It should blow reasonably hard. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
I removed the air duct and turned the dryer on, air was strong coming from the dryer but still no heat? So. am I looking at replacing the Highlimit switch or what else could be cutting off the heat element.
Thank you for your advise.

Chaz, before you go out and start buying parts, how about going out and buying a volt/ohm meter, for about $15.00, and we could check it out, and probably save you time and money. Plus, is there heat at all? Tom ApplianceEducator.com
