Default no heat
Brand: Roper
Model Number: REX4635eW1
Age: 5 - 10 years

First I was receiving no heat from my dryer, so I replaced the 2 thermostats.
Now my dryer runs too hot and after about 10 mins of running it blows the house fuse.

Something shorting out? Crossed wired?

Inspected Dryer again this morning...Heater element doesn't look to be shorting out.
It comes on...but maybe too hot.

I am thinking Cycling Thermostat??

Can anyone offer assistance???

Thanks parts select! this is a great website!

You may have something wired wrong.

Follow your wiring diagram and see what is wrong.

Are the fuses blowing black or are they just opening.

If these are cartridge type fuses you won't be able to tell.

the fuses are the square D brand fuses flip switch...and it flips to red and then i can reset it after a few minutes.

I hooked everything up as it was wired previously...
but i guess i will check it again
