The first thing that you should check is the power to the dryer.

You should be getting 240 volts to the dryer, if not check the fuses or breakers to the dryer, there are two for your dryer.

Check to see if a wire burnt off at the terminal block.

Check for burnt wires at the motor switch.

Check the heating element for continuity.

You should have about 11 ohms.

Here is a link to your dryer model let8858aw0.

I just had this problem on an older Thin Twin and found the problem to be the thermal cutoff.

I am new to the site. Just had an electrician over to look at dryer Whirlpool 10+ years old model LER4634EQ1 Thermostat needs replacing. Unfortunately the electrician did not work on dryers, but he did check the breakers, there was no problem there. I just left the site to order the parts. very inexpensive.

Another suggestion also. Disconnect power from your dryer.Remove the rear panel of your dryer in accordance with the manual that accompanied your dryer. Vacuum the excess lent and other particles from the vents. My drum turns perfectly but no heat. Whirlpool Model LER4634EQ1 10+ years old.
