DO NOT REPLACE THE TIMER!!!!!!!!!!! The reason it ran all night is because the element went our, or the thermal fuse went out. So if the heating goes out, the timer will never advance. Now, lets get to the real problem. First thing is check your breaker. Flip it off, and flip it on. Once you establish power, take the back off the dryer, and, on the right side, you will see the heating element assembly. On the top of the assembly is the thermal fuse, it has two wires coming to it. Put those two wires together, you might have to put a jumper wire in each end of the terminal, because sometimes the spade terminals are in plastic, and put a little black tape around it so it does not hit metal, then plug the dryer in, and turn it on. If it heats, replace the thermal fuse. If it does not replace the heater. If you have a meter, put it on ohms, and pull one wire off the thermal fuse, and if it were good, it would have continuity, the same with the element.
