Default Dryer repeatedly quits after 6 mins
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LGR5620KQ1
Age: 5 - 10 years

- Completely cleaned out all lint debris .
My no flame trouble starts at 5-7 mins of what looks to normal operation. I see igniter glow and good flame when the gas valve kicks in. Heats for four cycles or so then a rattle noise with the igniter on and no flame. I assume this is the gas valve coils chattering? Rattel only when trying to re-light . The timer looks to work in timed and air cycles. Repeatable scenario. Please help.
:07 glow on
:20 flame on
2:10 flame out
2:56 glow on
3:04 flame on
3:50 flame out
4:36 glow on

Must cool down for about 30min before resuming operation with flame.

Default

For anyone interested, I fixed this by replacing the dual coils on top the gas valves. When the prob occured, it would not clear until the dryer cooled down for about 30 mins. During that time the thermal units we still electrically closed, I estimated it was the coil issue then and the rattle was located there as well. $19.99 at Marbeck.
