Default Dryer repair
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: mde4916ayw
Age: 5 - 10 years

My dryer is making noise like a belt or pulley is bad. I pulled parts list off internet site but I can't make out how to open the top and front to take a look. I can see clips on parts sheet, but I do not know how to release clips and in what order. Any help would be appreciated

They are usually spring clamps you gently pry out with a putty knife. The order won't matter.

Try prying up the top from the front side

Try prying up the top from the front side with a flat tip screwdriver and if it is like my Fridgidaire and the top will hopefully lift up and back then you can see into th ebelt and drum area .
