Question Dryer repair
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: lde8506ace
Age: More than 10 years

The dryer takes almost 3 hours to dry a load of towels, and approx an 1 1/2 hour to dry other clothing. What could be the problem?

It sounds like you are getting heat.

Here are a few things you can check:

Make sure that your lint filter is clear.

Check that the vent hose has not been crushed.

Check that the flap on the out door cap is not jammed.
