 Dryer Question Brand: Hotpoint Model Number: NVL333EB1CC Age: 5 - 10 years
Have a Hotpoint dryer that suddenly stopped working. When you set the timer and hit the start swith all I hear is a loud humming. This sounds to me like a motor or start cap, but I thought I would throw it out here for any input. In looking at the parts diagrams I see a "Belt Switch" listed. What exactly does this switch do? Does it stop the motor from running if the belt is broken? Any info you could provide would be appreciated |
