Default Dryer is pinching clothes
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: GLER642A
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a 4 year old Frigidaire GLER642A that is pinching my clothes and ruining them. It seems that snaps, clasps and knots are getting trapped in between the drum and the housing and the clothes get very twisted to the point that it ruins the clothes. I think I need to replace the upper glide, lower glide and seal glide, but I wanted to see what people on here thought. Also, I see that there is an upper glide with nylon guides and an upper guide with only the felt and I don't know which I need. Any help/ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I just did this repair- it was easy enough. I bought my parts from the partpeddler on eBay. Item title: Frigidaire 5303937139 & 5303281049 Dryer Kit
Total: $27.01 The kit comes with instructions.
However, when I pulled the front panel away from the dryer, I disconnected the wires, and I am not sure which color to reconnect where... I tried one configuration, but my dryer overheated when I ran it again. if you open up your dryer, could you reply and tell me what you see in terms of wires and where they are connected? Thanks

Get the one with the nylon glides. And also don't worry too much about removing the old adhesive when you pull off the old felt. I got crazy with some super adhesive solvent and took off too much paint. Good luck!!
