Dryer Overheats & Shuts Down after 10 mins Brand: General Electric Age: 5 - 10 years Last week I was having a terrible squeaking noise in my GE gas dryer. I determined I needed to replace the glides and drum support. I did that and now no more noise.
However...
After putting it back together, it now overheats and shuts off a few mins after the burner kicks on. It didn't have this problem before I did the repair. Is there something I could have tripped or put back together wrong that would cause it to overheat??
Here's what I know it's NOT
- Not vent blockage. I've checked the vent where it exits the dryer and where it exits the house and there is no blockage.
- Not a door switch. It will run a full cycle on "no heat"
- Drum is turning
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |
