Default Dryer OverHeating
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: dwxr473et3ww
Age: 5 - 10 years

The problem that I am having is that when you start the electric dryer it runs for a few minutes then shuts off until it is cooled enough to restart. It will run continuously with no heat (no heat fluff). I have disassembled, and meticulously cleaned everything and the issue persists. What controls the heating elements temp/cycle and how do I check to see if it is defective? Can I order the part I need here at Parts Select? Thanks.

I am having the same problem with a Performa by Maytag. I think I'll try a high- limit thermastat. My dryer is only 1.5 years old.
