It is very possible that the element is broken, and is hitting the metal backing, and when you turn the dryer on, it just keeps on heating without shutting off. Or the vent is clogged to the out side. I would make sure the vent hose is clear in the back of the dryer, and also take the front off the dryer, and look down on the bottom of the front, and you will probably see a ton of lint in the blower housing. Then put it back together, and turn it on, and then go outside, and make sure the air is coming out real good, and see if it works better. That could be your only problem, that the dryer, and the vent need to be cleaned. If you need me I can be reached at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom |
