Unhappy Dryer not working
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 86373100
Age: 5 - 10 years

heating element went out , unpluged from wall removed back and opened top removed old heating element installed new one and plugged everything (a whole 4 wires) and nothing now it doesnt even turn on help. I have checked all wires all connected I even checked to see if maybe I connected them wrong still nothing please help I dont have money for a repair man and have 4 kids to wask clothes for

If the thermal cut off that protects the heat element is bad it won't heat. also if your home electrict panel dryer 220 volt breaker goes bad, with out 220 volts the motor might run but won't make heat. test voltage going into dryer, should read 230-245 volts checked with a good voltmeter.
