Default Dryer not heating-drying
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: DE713
Age: More than 10 years

Dryer is not heating. I've replaced the high limit thermostat and still no heat.
After removing the front panel, I can remember something about replacing the "cycle thermostats" would this be the thermostats on the blower vent?

I'm at work and the dryer is at home, so cannot refresh memory, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Thumbs up Check the power going to the dryer first!

Before you dump any more money into dryer parts please be sure you have sufficient voltage going to the dryer. I'm speaking from personal experience on this because my dryer would not heat up although all other components were working; then I was finally told by someone that the dryer only requires 120v to run but 240v to run the heating element I tested the circuit breaker at the panel and it was only putting out 110 ( It had become weak or failed on one side). So after replacing the circuit breaker the dryer works perfectly! Let this be a lesson for all... Test the power first!
I hope this helps more people out when trouble shooting dryer heating problems.
