Default Dryer not heating
Brand: Estate
Model Number: TEDX640JQ0
Age: 5 - 10 years

my dryer quit heating about a week ago. i found your site and ordered a heating element and the two thermostats in the housing for the element. no luck, still not heating. it will turn on and run, but thats about it.

what else could it be? i'd hate to have to go buy a new dryer after having spent $90 on parts already.

Do you have fuse or breakers in your home?

I would have thought it was the thermostat, but if you've replaced them and it's still not working, I don't know what else it could be. I'd be interested in learning the answer to that question myself.

If you have checked all of your wiring it could be the timer contacts.

This would mean a new timer.

Here is a link to your dryer model TEDX640JQ0.

If your dryer is not heating, then the possible cause may be that it is not supplied with proper voltage. Just ensure whether the power is getting into the dryer. To check follow the steps:

1. make sure the dryer is plugged in

2.check the circuit breaker

3. check that there are no fuses in the fuse panel are blown.
