Default Dryer Not Heating
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LER8648PWO
Age: 1 - 4 years

My dryer is about 2 years old and is a Whirlpool Model No. LER8648PW0. It is not heating. I've cleaned the lint and checked the outside vent and it is not clogged. What could possibly be wrong?

Here is your parts breakdown
Whirlpool LER8648PW0 Parts List

I assume that is all that is wrong with it and the motor/drum still runs.

Flip your breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes one side of the breaker can open without tripping the breaker. Your heater runs on 240, the motor runs on 120 volts.

Try all different settings/cycles to see if that makes a difference or at least give some help with troubleshooting.

Other possibilities are timer, thermostats etc., etc.

Check to see do you have 240 at the receptacle. You will need a meter to do this.
You can get a decent digital multimeter for under $20.00, you do not need fancy.
It is nice if the leads are a couple feet long. If it saves you from ordering one unnecessary part, it has paid for itself.
