I have a GE DSXR453EV0WW dryer, it take approximately 3 hours to dry on regular drying setting. Can someone please tell what part do I need to change or what needs to be done to the machine to fix it.
Ok, Lets answer 2 for the price of one. Big sean I need a model # to know if we have a gas or a electric dryer
Bando Man, It sounds to me like you have a vent issue to the outside. If you try running your dryer without the hose hooked up to the wall, you will see that the unit will run fine.
If either of you need me I can be reached at my website at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
Big Sean, here is how I want you to check this. Turn the dryer on, and the ignitor will come on, and then the gas will come out. Then it will cycle off, and when the ignitor comes on the second time, does the ignitor cut off, and no gas. If so you need the holding coils on the gas valve.
