Default Dryer not getting hot
Brand: Roper
Model Number: REL4632BQ2
Age: Please select

I have no idea how old this thing is. My landlord's work crew moved the dryer roughly to gain access to install the vent and electrical port for it, and it worked fine for a while, until one day it made a loud CLUNK sound, and now it spins but doesn't heat. I suspect the rough handling knocked something loose, but I can't get the top to open so I can look. The lid has hinges of a sort, so I can see it CAN open, and it will shift side to side, but I just can't get it to open. What am I missing?

To remove the top remove the lint screen and remove the two screws.

Between the front panel and the top there are two spring clips.

Use a putty knife to release the clips and raise the top.

Here is a link to your dryer model REL4632BQ2.

If there was a loud clunk the belt must have broken.
