Does the noise go away when the dryer runs for a long time?

Is this a grinding noise or is it a squealing noise or may be a scrapping noise?

I have the same problem on a Maytag "stackable" dryer. A loud scraping/squealing noice when the dryer starts, then is goes away after a while. Is it the drum glides?

I have a stackable maytag with a horrendous squeaky noise. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot? Or if not what can I look for to fix? thanks

You will have to take the dryer a part and see if the idler pulley is warn or the drum supports are warn.

With out hearing the noise it is hard to say.
