Default Dryer motor removal
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FDE336RES1
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a Frigidaire Dryer with a frozen motor. I have the motor assembly out of the dryer but I cannot get the impeller off the motor shaft. Without using a lot of excess force, how does it remove?

The motor shaft is threaded. The blower unscrews for the motor.

It should unscrew the opposite direction of the blades.

Here is a link to your dryer model FDE336RES1.

Sheila;

Thanks....that's what I thought and I tried to unscrew it, but, didn't realize it is probably left-handed thread....I will try that...
