Default Dryer model number
Brand: White-Westinghouse
Model Number: de170add1
Age: More than 10 years

The dryer model number is DE170ADD1. It is an older dryer, but no one has the model number listed. How can I find a heating element?

I don't know what kind of dryer you have, but from what I have been told, they are mostly set up the same as far as placement. Remove the back of dryer and look on the right side for a closed canister like device that is as tall as the back of the dryer. My element was up inside of that. The canister will be connected to the opening inside of the dryer where the heat comes through at, so look inside the dryer to get an idea on where it is. A little tricky to remove.

Did you model number come from a tag with the serial number on it also?

Was your dryer purchased in the USA?
