My dryer is making a loud knocking noise. When the dryer starts there is no noise then gradually the loud knocking starts. It's tumbling and drying fine , just making that noise...sometimes during the drying cycle it stops making noise, but starts back again. Help???

Check the drum rollers for ware.

One could have a flat spot and be seized on the shaft.

Also check the idler pulley.

The pulley should spin freely on the shaft.

You may need to use some high temperature grease on it.
