Default Dryer Makes Squealing Noise
Brand: Admiral
Model Number: ADE7005AYW
Age: 1 - 4 years

My dryer has recently started making squealing noises after running for a short time. It is getting quite bad and seems to get quite hot as well. Looking through the posts, I'm thinking it is the plastic (tan) dryer glides that are wearing. However, they do not physically look that bad and the dryer is less than 2 years old. On a parts list I also noticed 'Drum Glide Felt Pads' listed. I do not have these on my dryer that I can see. Is there supposed to be (i.e. is that the problem?) If so, the picture doesn't show very clearly where these get installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated as to whether or not I'm heading down the right path with these glides.

I checked the rear rollers and the idler...all seem to spin freely.
