Default Dryer made a popping sound, no longer works
Brand: Amana
Model Number: LEA60AW
Age: More than 10 years

Had a load of clothes drying and then turn the knob to restart. While I turned the knob to restart the dryer, a popped and a spark happened. Now, the dryer doesn't turn on and the light inside the drum doesn't come on either. Is this a simple fix or a more complex one?

Default

sound like you tripped the breaker. but before you reset the breaker I would find out what the sparks are from. look for some burn marks

Default trouble shooting....

I did do a little trouble shooting, prior and the braker wasn't tripped. I thought a fuse blew and removed the control panel to see, all I saw was a punch of wires so I thought I would get more insight from somewhere else. Thanks!
