Default Dryer Lights gas burner thens goes out
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LGR4634EQ1
Age: 5 - 10 years

My dryer has become difficult! It starts up, burner kicks on (LP) runs for about 2 minutes and then shuts off. I have checked all of the lines to make sure there is no blockage (vent is clean to outside, internals are all clean). I have taken this apart and cleaned everything. I have replaced both coils (per my local Whirlpool service center). I'm wondering if it is the high temp sensor. Getting tired of just replacing parts piece meal. Any recomendations???? Can I check the thermostats to see if they are working properly????

Thanks,
Rick

The function of the high temperature sensor is to cut the heat off if the dryer become to hot. I is unlikely that it is causing your problem.

You can check the thermostats two ways:

You can use a meter to see if there is continuity.

You can heat them and then let them cool and see if you hear a click.

The meter is the best way.

The problem could still be in the valve.

Here is a link to your dryer model LGR4634EQ1.
