 Dryer leaves marks on clothes, replace drum? Brand: Frigidaire Model Number: Fsg747Ges1 Age: More than 10 years
My dryer is leaving marks on clothes and sometimes making holes. I took apart and found that upper felt is wore out. I bought parts, but directions say that drum should be smooth and painted? Looking at the drum I see that the load bearing surface is smooth but bare metal. Also notice that the lower felt is brown on one side (rust?). Doesn't seem reasonable to have replace the whole drum? Any suggestions would be appreciated. |
